About the SACE
The SACE is South Australia's senior certificate, run by the SACE Board (also used in the NT). Stage 2 subjects combine 70% school assessment with 30% external assessment, and the compulsory Research Project builds independent research skills.
What's assessed
Stage 1
Usually Year 11, including literacy & numeracy requirements.
Stage 2
Year 12 subjects that count toward the ATAR.
Research Project
Compulsory Stage 2 subject.
External assessment
Exams or investigations worth 30%.
